Job SummaryThe Administrative Coordinator I provides administrative support for Student Enrollment Services and exercise discretion and independent judgement in matters of significance.
Essential Duties & Tasks- Administrative Operations Management:
Oversees planning and execution of administrative operations, maintains daily office calendar, monitors project timelines, coordinates office records and inventory, responds to inquiries, manages travel and event logistics, and supports office procedures. - Documenting, Imaging & Workflow Management:
Manages admissions and student records workflows, ensures compliance with TAMU policies and processing requirements. - Support & Coordination:
Provides support to executive staff and team members, coordinates meetings, conferences, events, and website maintenance. - Compliance & Policy Oversight:
Monitors compliance, analyzes project requirements, provides technical information, and assists in establishing procedures for regulatory compliance. - Communications:
Composes correspondence, prepares reports, publications, and presentations, edits, proofreads, and coordinates mail-outs. - Other Duties:
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; two years’ office administration experience.
Preferred Qualifications- Travel and event coordination experience.
- Experience in student services, admissions, recruitment, financial aid, or related field.
- Experience with youth populations in admissions or recruitment.
- Experience in educational programs at the college or university level.
- Customer service experience in a professional office setting.
- Experience with student records and admissions processing.
- Higher education experience.
- Project management experience with a variety of office tasks.
- Ability to prioritize compliance and accuracy.
- Cooperative teamwork, multitasking, and ability to manage frequent interruptions.
- Strong oral and written communication; ability to understand and follow instructions.
- Tact, diplomacy, and judgment in customer interactions.
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation applications.
- Excellent organization, prioritization, and attention to detail with discretion and independent judgment.
Mild to moderate lifting; frequently lifts and carries objects up to 25 pounds.
