Assistant​/Associate​/Professor, Tenure Track

Faculty opportunity at the intersection of health services research and epidemiology. The Department of Epidemiology at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) invites applications for an open‑rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) tenure‑track faculty position. We seek an accomplished scientist with a strong record of scholarly excellence, a collaborative research agenda, and a commitment to teaching and mentoring the next generation of public health leaders.

• Maintain an active, externally funded research program appropriate to rank, pursue new funding opportunities, and participate in collaborative, multidisciplinary grant activities.
• Contribute meaningfully to the department’s teaching mission and provide high‑quality mentorship to graduate students and trainees.
• Engage with UTMB’s Center for Health and Clinical Outcomes Research (H‑COR) to leverage multidisciplinary expertise and contribute to health and clinical outcomes research across the institution.

• Open‑rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) tenure‑track faculty position.
• PhD, MD, DrPH, or equivalent degree in epidemiology or an aligned field.
• Track record of funded research as PI or Co‑I consistent with rank.
• Demonstrated excellence in research through peer‑reviewed publications.
• Demonstrated abilities to teach and mentor at the graduate level consistent with rank.
• Advanced methodological expertise in analysis of complex population or health care data, causal inference methods, or innovative data sources such as social media and digital trace data.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
