Position Overview
Under the general direction of the Real Estate & Facility Operations Manager:
For Houma Heliport;
Shall inspect, and maintain onshore and offshore fuel systems including assembling, repairing and assisting customers with troubleshooting of fuel system malfunctions. Perform helideck inspections and investigate safety issues in accordance with PHI guidelines, regulations, processes, and industry standards. Conduct fuel familiarization training both onshore and offshore.
- Perform fuel related audits/inspections, installations, troubleshooting and repairs for fuel bowsers and fuel systems onshore and offshore locations.
- Perform fuel related audits/inspections, installations, troubleshooting and repairs for company fuel trucks and fuel trailers.
- Manage and direct reporting staff—communicating expectations to Supervisors, Leads and/or Aircraft Fuelers.
- Conduct fuel handling training and travel outside of PHI facilities with Hazmat products.
- Operate forklifts and fuel trucks on a routine basis.
- Perform monthly inspection on equipment and document results as required.
- Coordinate and communicate all related fuel system requirements and standards for PHI fuel systems with manager and supervisor counterparts.
- Ensure all fuel maintenance, safety, and scheduling of fuel operations are executed satisfactorily.
- Maintain records for fuel inventory at the home base location in PHI’s database system.
- Maintain records for fuel equipment at the home base location and offshore, including but not limited to fuel systems and tank inspections, in PHI’s database system.
- Serve as a technical advisor for aviation fueling systems related to design, maintenance and purchasing.
- Keep alignment of technical and regulatory changes affecting PHI’s Fuel Management Program.
- Assist Safety with the investigation and corrective actions of fuel related hazard reports and issues.
- Act as a placeholder while supervisor counterparts are absent.
- Perform any other duties assigned.
- Responsible for supporting the PHI Safety Management System and complying with company HS&E policies and procedures.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Suite programs – Word, Excel, Outlook and Access.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work independently, or as part of a team.
- Ability to stay overnight at the work‑site location.
- Basic use of hand and power tools.
- Capable of lifting, pulling, walking, and climbing activities.
- Valid TWIC card, THUET w. CA‑EBS, Travel Safely by boat, Rig Pass, Swing Rope and Confine Space Entry and any other training required.
- Ability to present information, reports and training to groups – subordinates and customers.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and analytical skills.
- Acquire and maintain a valid Class B CDL with Manual, Tanker, Air and Hazmat endorsements (preferred).
