A Glimpse of the JobThe Keyless Access Administrator I is responsible for administering routine keyless systems, related services, and projects. Administers the University video management system and access control system.
Essential Duties/Tasks- Keyless Access Provides technical support including supporting local administrators with programming and reporting, assigning, modifying, and revoking access permissions, setting time-based access permissions according to either requests or University standard policies.
- Assists with configuration of new and newly upgraded keyless access systems, system administration of access management systems.
- Supports the overall efforts of the building and keyless access personnel.
- Creates and modifies building administrator accounts, modifies individual user accounts, assigning user credentials to cardholders, troubleshooting and remediating access issues.
- Assists local system administrators with creating partitions, user groups, control groups, etc.
- Assists with escalations ensuring prompt resolution of issues.
- May assist with generating reports and summaries for management and/or users including status reports, problem reports, progress summaries, and system utilization reports, etc.
- Provides support for the ongoing system maintenance and upgrades with service providers.
- Monitors customer service and ensures service level agreements and standards are being met.
- Assists with overall equipment testing, troubleshooting and installation as needed in compliance with standards.
- Reviews issues with the vendors or internal staff for new installations and maintenance.
- Preparing communications to campus regarding utility outages, road repairs and other projects that have significant impacts to campus.
- Provides limited system administration support to the video management system personnel.
- Provides documentation for operations, emergencies, and other procedures related to keyless access.
- Supporting enhanced visibility/status regarding projects and work orders.
- Assists with inventory control for keyless access.
- Assisting with campus inspections, including the integrity of access control (both key and card key), building cleanliness, general building maintenance and landscaping.
- Assisting with fire drills and emergency evacuation drills.
- Assists with the education and training of other staff or administrators with regards access control systems.
- May serve as a member of various University committees.
- Other duties as assigned.
Salary: $4,322.82 monthly
RequiredEducation and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Lenel Technician Certification
- Keyless Access Certification
- Locksmith Certification
- Valid Driver’s License
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of commercial grade hardware.
- Knowledge of how to use keyless access software, hand tools, key cutters, computers, and mortise jigs.
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
- Computers 1-2 Hours a Day
- Telephone 1 Hour a Day
- Locksmithing Equipment 4 Hours a Day
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, use ladders, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work and locksmithing equipment. Light to moderate lifting may be required.
