The Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM) service at Iron Mountain is looking for a dynamic and motivated Warehouse Operator to join its team. As a leader in the field of IT asset destruction and management, we are committed to offering a challenging work environment and professional growth opportunities.
What You Will Do
- Receive shipments of goods.
- Unload and inspect items to ensure they are not damaged or have any anomalies.
- Verify the accuracy of shipments against packing lists or purchase orders.
- Assign storage space for incoming goods.
- Organize and arrange items for easy retrieval.
- Use inventory management systems to track the location of goods in the warehouse.
- Select items from inventory for customer orders or shipments.
- Package items securely for transport.
- Create and apply appropriate labels.
- Prepare goods for outbound shipments.
- Coordinate with carriers and logistics service providers.
- Create shipping documents and labels.
- Load goods into delivery vehicles.
- Perform regular inventories to ensure data accuracy.
- Update real-time inventory records.
- Implement measures to prevent and address discrepancies.
- Inspect the quality of goods and report any issues.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to safety rules and guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and federal regulations.
- Train warehouse staff on safety protocols and ensure their adherence.
- Operate and maintain warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections.
What You Will Bring
- Previous experience in a warehouse operations role or similar position.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to calmly and focusedly handle conflicting demands and manage multiple priorities within competitive time frames to achieve positive results.
- Capacity to work independently on assigned projects and tasks.
- Tact and sensitivity in written and verbal communication.
- Ability to regularly lift and move up to 33 pounds.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation requirements.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work without supervision.
- Commitment to staying focused on the customer and performance to deliver service that meets the highest standards.
- High standards of ethics, professional conduct, integrity, and honesty, and a commitment to equal opportunity. Treat all sensitive data confidentially.
- Flexibility and responsiveness to schedules, patterns, locations, and work methods, as needed.
- Fluency in French.
