Part‑Time

Community Outreach Associate – Galveston County  School Year (September - May)

We need an outstanding Community Outreach Associate to help us prepare the next generation of girls. From September through May, you will be the role model girls need when you conduct interactive programs at elementary schools in the LaMarque, Texas City, and Galveston areas. We want every girl to have the opportunity to achieve her dreams, and you’ll help us with this when you work with girls on contemporary issues they face such as peer pressure, self‑esteem, health, and fitness, conflict resolution, bullying, valuing differences, healthy relationships, financial literacy, and other topics in GSUSA’s National Program Portfolio.

A Community Outreach Associate is someone who is seeking a part‑time position to develop a career in community outreach with a transformational nonprofit that provides a competitive salary and flexible hours.

  • Experience working with youth or prior Girl Scout experience preferred, but not required.
  • A holder of a valid Texas driver’s license and proof of insurance with the flexibility to travel to your assigned communities.
  • Able to lift and transport supplies sometimes more than 25 pounds.
