Contract Behavioral Health Registered Nurse - Clinic Supervisor for a 26-week assignment in or near Galveston, TX. Provides psychiatric nursing care and leads a clinical team, ensuring quality behavioral health services for clients.
Key Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive psychiatric nursing care to clients within the facility.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatments, and interventions.
Execute patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and respond promptly to changes in patient conditions.
Support new staff during orientation and shadowing periods to ensure seamless integration into the team.
Supervise and manage direct reports, ensuring quality of care and adherence to protocols.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from an accredited institution.
Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Minimum of 2 years RN experience in psychiatric or behavioral health settings.
At least 1 year supervising or managing direct reports.
Minimum 1 year experience working with behavioral health/IDD/dual diagnosis clients.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills focused on teamwork and leadership.
Must reside within 35-40 minutes of the facility.
Skills:
SAMA certification (preferred).
