Provide psychiatric nursing leadership for a 26-week assignment in Galveston, Texas, delivering high-quality patient care and supervisory support while earning competitive compensation and benefits.
Key Responsibilities:Deliver expert psychiatric nursing care to patients in crisis
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement individualized treatment plans
Maintain accurate patient records and document progress
Supervise nursing staff, offering guidance, training, and performance feedback
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies
Work 13-hour shifts, day or night, adapting to fast-paced crisis environment
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff
Conduct crisis interventions and de-escalation techniques
Participate in orientation and shadowing to integrate into clinical setting
Provide leadership and mentorship to direct reports
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher from accredited institution
Valid Texas Registered Nurse license
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Minimum 2 years psychiatric RN experience
At least 1 year supervisory experience with direct reports
1 year ER/Triage experience in behavioral health setting
Ability to work 13-hour shifts, day or night
Physical ability to work in clinical setting, including shadowing during orientation
Strong leadership and communication skills
Skills:
SAMA certification

You hold a Texas RN license and BSN degree. You have at least two years psychiatric RN experience. You possess supervisory experience and strong crisis de-escalation skills
