Laboratory Scientist

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in basic science or equivalent; no experience required.

Job Description:

Performs varying standardized laboratory assignments and experiments.

Job Duties:

The job entails the design, execution and data analysis of experiments using various biochemical, biophysical, immunohistochemical and molecular biology techniques. These techniques include, but are not limited to:
Western blotting, ELISA, protein purification, cell culture, immunostaining and microscopy. Animal work which involves, maintaining colonies, breeding, genotyping and performing experiments with transgenic animal models.

In addition, the candidate will work with team members to maintain laboratory through inventory management, ordering of lab supplies, maintenance of equipment and protocols. Accurate recording and interpretation of activities, lab issues and experimental results are integral to job function as well
