* ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
*
* This position emphasizes translational regenerative research aimed at developing new therapeutics for musculoskeletal disorders. The faculty member will hold a primary appointment in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation and will conduct research within the Shriners Children's Texas Research Center. Responsibilities include leading an independent, competitive research program in musculoskeletal regenerative medicine; collaborating with UTMB's extensive network of biomedical researchers and scientific centers;
mentoring graduate students and postdoctoral fellows; utilizing UTMB's advanced core facilities such as sequencing, microscopy, and proteomics; and pursuing research funding, including opportunities through Shriners Children's.
