* JOB DESCRIPTION:

* The postdoctoral fellow will conduct, report and present research in his/her field of study under the supervision of a faculty mentor. This is a training position, and is not expected to be a permanent position.

*
* ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

*
* + Will work on the continuation of NIH funded projects in Dr. Kayeds lab.

+ Will test leading small molecules that are effective against toxic tau oligomer in primary neuronal culture and animal models for Alzheimers disease

+ Will also test molecules for their potential as imaging reagents in animal human tissues

+ Prepares the figures and writ up the results for publication

* MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

*
* PhD, MD or Doctoral equivalent in any field. Scientific research experience.

* PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

*
* + Mouse surgical procedure

+ Production of recombinant proteins

+ Previous research experience with tau oligomers

** SALARY:*
* Commensurate with experience.
