About the Role: We are a busy 57-room hotel looking to expand our maintenance team. If you are tired of driving to unpredictable job sites in the heat and want steady, indoor, climate-controlled work right here on the island, we want to hear from you.
We are currently hiring for all skill levels. Whether you are an entry-level handyman looking to learn the ropes or an experienced Maintenance Lead ready to manage a property's daily health, we have consistent, year-round work available.
- Entry-Level ($11.00 - $13.00/hr): Willing to train candidates with a great attitude, reliable transportation, and basic tool knowledge.
- Mid-Level ($13.00 - $16.00/hr): Minimum 2+ years of experience with general hotel/apartment repairs, drywall, painting, and basic plumbing/electrical.
- Lead Engineer ($16.00 - $20.00/hr): Minimum 7+ years of commercial or hospitality experience required. Capable of advanced troubleshooting, team supervision, and system diagnostics.
- Handle general building repairs including drywall patching, painting, trim, and basic carpentry.
- Perform plumbing maintenance (leaks, clogs, toilet resets) and electrical work (switches, outlets, light fixtures).
- Troubleshoot and repair PTAC (A/C) units and electronic door locks.
- Mid/Lead levelcandidates are expected to supply their own daily tools (specialty/heavy equipment is provided).
- Complete daily preventative maintenance checklists to ensure guest rooms and common areas meet brand standards.
- Supervision: Direct, train, and audit the work of lower-tier maintenance technicians.
- Preventative Maintenance: Establish and enforce comprehensive PM routines for all rooms, the exterior, and common areas.
- Asset Monitoring: Actively monitor the health of major commercial assets (PTACs, HVAC, pool, water heaters, etc.).
- Inventory Management: Secure the maintenance shop, track property-owned tools, and manage repair part supplies.
- Communication: Provide clear, daily/weekly maintenance summaries and coordinate ongoing projects directly with hotel management.
- Reliability: Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and work under pressure.
- Service Mindset: A friendly, professional attitude when interacting with guests and staff.
