Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is responsible forthe following:
Other duties may be assigned.
Adjust andmaintainindustrial machinery, using control and regulating devices.
Adjust,maintain, and repair or replace subassemblies, such as transmissions and crawler heads, using hand tools, jacks, and cranes.
Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.
Assemble gear systems, andalign frames and gears.
Clean parts by spraying them with grease solvent or immersing them in tanks of solvent.
Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
Diagnose faults or malfunctions todeterminerequired repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices.
Examine parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges.
Fabricate needed parts or items from sheet metal.
Fit bearings to adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects.
Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
Repair and replace damaged or worn parts.
Repair, rewire, and troubleshoot electrical systems.
Schedule maintenance for industrial machines and equipment, andkeep equipment service records.
Research, order, andmaintainparts inventory for services and repairs.
Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
Weld or solder broken parts and structural members, using electric or gas welders and soldering tools.
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or Certificate from college or technical schoolor equivalent combination of education and experience inmechanicrolepreferred.
Industrial and/or marine advanced mechanical experience preferred:
1stClass: 3-5 years
2ndClass: 1-3 years
Open-air conditions such as noisy, hot, cold, etc.
Working with hot and sometimes hazardous materials.
Aboard ships, both on and offshore as well as confined spaces.
Mustwear hearing, eye, headprotectionand proper PPE.
Some climbing (100 feet) and lifting (50 lbs.) involved.(Board ships, climb ladders and work in obscure and dense areas).

Skills:
Ability to work underdeadlinesand schedule pressures.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings,technicalmanualsand work process instructions.
