AC Boise is seeking a professional, energetic, and engaging Public Address (PA) Announcer to serve as the official in-stadium voice of the club during all home matches and select club events.
The PA Announcer plays a vital role in delivering a high-quality matchday experience aligned with USL League One presentation standards, ensuring accuracy, neutrality, professionalism, and entertainment value.
This individual will work closely with the Match Operations, Communications, and Broadcast teams to execute all scripted and live announcements.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the official in-stadium voice for all AC Boise home matches
- Deliver clear, accurate, and timely announcements, including:
- Starting lineups
- Goal scorers and substitutions
- Sponsorship reads
- Matchday promotions and community messages
- Safety and emergency information
- Maintain neutrality and professionalism in accordance with league match presentation guidelines
- Collaborate with:
- Match Director
- Game Operations staff
- Broadcast and Production crew
- League officials, as necessary
- Execute league-mandated reads and timing protocols
- Participate in rehearsals, sound checks, and pre-match production meetings
- Represent AC Boise in a positive and professional manner at all times
- Prior experience as a PA announcer in professional, collegiate, or high-level amateur sports (soccer experience preferred)
- Strong vocal presence with excellent diction and pacing
- Ability to remain composed in live-event, high-pressure environments
- Strong understanding of soccer terminology and match flow
- Ability to follow detailed scripts while adapting to live match situations
- Availability for all home matches, including evenings and weekends
- Familiarity with USL match presentation standards preferred
- Knowledge of the Boise sports community
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus
- Experience working with live production crews or broadcast environments
- Energetic delivery style that enhances supporter culture while maintaining league professionalism
- Arrive no later than two (2) hours prior to kickoff
- Participate in production meetings and sound checks
- Follow the official match script and league timing structure
- Maintain communication with the Match Director via headset throughout the event
- Remain available through the conclusion of post-match announcements
- Competitive game-day rate (commensurate with experience)
