Job Summary
We are seeking an organized Transportation Administrative Assistant to support our department.
Qualifications / Requirements- Must have a high school diploma or equivalency.
- Three years experience.
- Accounting Skills, 10-key by touch and good keyboard skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Maintain confidentiality, integrity, and honesty in all aspects of job performance.
- Must have the ability to communicate and work effectively and cooperatively with members of the school district and community.
- Review and approve time sheets each morning using skyward.
- Review, correct, and maintain employee’s time sheets and activity records in both manual and computer records.
- Answer questions and provide assistance to individuals inside and outside the transportation department through telephone and written correspondence.
- Collect, organize, and maintain personnel information, activity logs and other important documents and information in both manual and electronic filing systems.
- Prepare reports and documents as needed with excel and word.
- Prepare reports required by the State of Kansas.
- Process Purchase Order request for the transportation department.
- Complete credit card reconciliation on a Biweekly basis.
- Prepare monthly and daily mileage reports on all vehicles.
- Process mileage reimbursement at end of each semester.
- Prepare invoicing for community trips.
- Prepare inspection sheets for mechanics to support highway patrol inspections on all vehicles.
- Substitute as a school bus or activity driver when needed maintaining all required CDL licenses, endorsements and qualifications.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to sit at a workstation most of an eight-hour day
- Must have manual dexterity required for consistent and accurate computer input
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and climb flights of stairs
- Must be capable of dealing with noise and constant interruptions
$18.60/hour with full benefits.
