DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Order Entry Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately entering customer orders into our system, ensuring timely processing, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have strong data entry skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency. These are essential functions a qualified applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Accurately enter customer orders into the order management system.
- Review orders for completeness, pricing accuracy, and product availability.
- Communicate detailed information to sales representatives and internal departments to resolve order discrepancies or issues.
- Retain product knowledge to ensure finished product meets customer needs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to order processing.
- Handle special accounts, which may require special procedures
- Other duties as assigned.
- The minimum education required for this position is a High School diploma or equivalent.
- One or more years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
- This position requires general computer skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Technical printing knowledge is helpful.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in sometimes complex situations.
- Incumbent regularly required to use color vision, grasp, reach and sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Computer savvy and comfortable with technology
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to handle conflict and manage customer expectations
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
- Skilled at juggling multiple tasks at a time
- Strong proofreading and grammar skills
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Environment is typically general office, though the incumbent may spend short periods in the manufacturing environments with exposure including but not limited to dust, dirt, high noise levels and variations in temperature. Incumbent constantly required to hear, speak, articulate and use manual dexterity.
- May require occasional overtime during peak periods.
