Project Estimator

Job Summary

Harman Huffman Construction Group (HHCG) is seeking a motivated Project Estimator to join our preconstruction team. This role supports estimating and preconstruction efforts from initial takeoff through bid submission. We're looking for an individual who is self-driven, detail-oriented, and eager to learn and grow within our company.

Whether you have foundational experience or are early in your construction career, HHCG provides hands-on, on-site training and mentorship to help you advance into a strong contributor within our estimating group.

• Review plans, specifications, and addenda to determine scope requirements
• Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with cost estimating
• Send bid invitations and coordinate subcontractor pricing
• Analyze subcontractor proposals and compare scope coverage
• Prepare budgets, bid tabs, and estimate packages
• Support value engineering and cost-saving alternative evaluations
• Participate in internal preconstruction meetings and strategy sessions

• Entry-level acceptable, mid-level preferred (1–5 years in construction estimating or related roles)
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred (but not required with experience)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office; experience with Bluebeam, Procore, or estimating software is a plus
• Self-driven, motivated, and eager to learn through hands-on training
• Ability to work full-time in office
