Auxiliary Equipment Operator Trainee -III

Join the Gas Operations department at Garden City Station. As an Auxiliary Equipment Operator Trainee I-III, you will get the chance to operate equipment and conduct rounds under the direct supervision of assigned training personnel. In addition, you will have the opportunity to learn more about Rubart Station and S4/S5 operations. The candidate will be required to satisfactorily complete required classroom and on-shift training per the Operator Training Program requirements.

• High school diploma and six months progressive power plant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Successful completion of the Edison Electric Institute (EEI) Plant Operator Selection System (POSS) Test.
• Able to learn to read and comprehend basic power plant principles, equipment processes and systems, and practices/procedures.

We administer selection tests for a variety of positions. The required tests have been developed by the Edison Electric Institute (EEI), a trade association of investor-owned electric utility companies. EEI does not allow access to the actual tests. Testing sessions are held at various locations.
