Blood & Marrow Transplant Nurse Coordinator

Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive management of end‑stage organ diseases and oversee the patient's journey through the transplant process.
- Coordinate living donor evaluation and care, identifying appropriate candidates and interacting with the multidisciplinary team.
- Manage post‑transplant care, including medication management, surveillance for complications, and coordination of follow‑up with the transplant team.
- Maintain transplant candidate status per regulations, ensuring all screening is obtained regularly per transplant center protocols.
- Educate candidates/families on living donation options, transplant process, risks and benefits, and post‑operative care.
- Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team, monitoring patient progress and identifying complications.
- Provide and maintain comprehensive documentation of candidate and recipient progress.
- Facilitate transplant process when organs become available, communicating with regulatory bodies and collecting necessary data for decision‑making.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Two or more years of acute clinical experience
- Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN), Multi‑State State Board of Nursing in Kansas
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) or Basic BCLS, American Heart Association (AHA)
- Current active multi‑state RN license in good standing in the state in which you live OR active single‑state RN license in good standing in the state you will be working with proof of of a multi‑state RN license in the state in which you live.
- Staff hired prior to 2/1/2024 are required to obtain a multi‑state RN license from the state in which they live at the time of their next RN license renewal by 3/31/2026.
