Travel RN - Cath Lab​/EP

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position at a Level 3 Trauma hospital in Kansas, requiring at least 2 years of experience and active ACLS and BLS certifications.

Job Details

• Acute care setting within a Cardiac Cath Lab at a Level 3 Trauma facility,

• Patient population includes STEMI, heart failure, cardiovascular disease, peripheral vascular disease, and arrhythmia,

• Single lab/suite performing an average of 2-3 cases per day,

• Cardiologist coverage is available 24/7,

• Works alongside a director, lead tech, and a team of 3 Cath Lab techs,

• Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts,

• Call is rotated with staff 24/7, including weeknights, weekends, and holidays,

• 30-minute call response time required,

• May float to Pre/Post and serve as backup for the Stress Lab,

• Hospital-laundered scrubs provided,

• EMR:
Epic; hemodynamic monitoring equipment: GE Hemo,

Job Requirements

• Active KS or Compact (NLC) RN license required - no pending licenses accepted,

• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required - no pending certifications accepted,

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required,

• Background in telemetry or critical care required,

• Experience with moderate sedation and procedural nursing required,

• A valid driver's license is required for consideration,

• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include circulating cases, patient monitoring, and pre/post procedure care,

• Orientation consists of 12 hours working alongside RNs and techs in both the lab and Pre/Post areas; candidates must be on-site in Kansas for the full week of orientation even if initial modules are completed remotely,

• Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate; the driver's license is used to verify permanent address,

• Candidates may not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any Common Spirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year; those who worked PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered,
