Travel Nurse Source  is working with United Health Care Staffing, Inc. to find a qualified Nurse Manager RN in Garden City, Kansas, 67846!

United Health Care Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to lead both the Cardiac Cath Lab and ICU departments in a dynamic acute care setting. This role is ideal for a strong clinical leader with hands-on experience in critical care and cardiac procedures who can guide teams, maintain high clinical standards, and build a strong unit culture.

Acute Care Hospital

Shift: 8 Hour Days (Monday – Friday) with call as needed
Guaranteed

Hours:

40 Hours per Week
Charting System:
Epic

Leadership Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations for both the Cardiac Cath Lab and ICU departments
Support and mentor clinical staff while improving nursing competencies
Coordinate scheduling, staffing, and patient flow
Promote a collaborative culture and high-quality patient care
Participate in call coverage and departmental leadership responsibilities

Unit Overview

Cardiac Cath Lab
1 Cath Lab procedure room
3 Pre/Post procedure bays
Elective procedures scheduled Monday–Friday from 0800–1600

Common cases include:
Cardiac interventions
Vascular procedures
Electrophysiology procedures
Interventional radiology support
Non-invasive cardiology

ICU
8-bed Intensive Care Unit
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2 (may go up to 1:3 depending on acuity)

Common patient diagnoses:
Sepsis
DKA
NSTEMI and STEMI
COPD exacerbation
Chronic kidney disease
Respiratory and cardiac critical care cases

Clinical Skills and Equipment

Experience with titrating vasoactive medications including:
Levophed, Vasopressin, Epinephrine, Nitroglycerin, Amiodarone, Propofol, Versed, Fentanyl, Insulin, and others

Cath Lab medications and therapies include:
Heparin
IIbIIIa inhibitors
Blood products

Respiratory equipment includes:
Ventilators
CPAP/BiPAP
High-flow oxygen systems

Required Qualifications
Minimum 3 years RN experience
Minimum 1 year management experience
Minimum 1 year clinical leadership experience
Experience in both Cath Lab and ICU environments is required

Required Certifications
ACLS (AHA)
BLS (AHA)
NIHSS
RCIS – Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
TNCC
CRRT competency preferred

Additional Details
Self-scheduling available for staff
24/7 call coverage for emergencies and after-hours cases
Staff float to support other departments as needed
Hospital-laundered scrubs provided

Submission Requirements
Driver’s license required at submission
Candidates must live outside the 60-mile radius rule
Candidates must be in-state during orientation week even if the first day includes remote modules
