Travel Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery

Overview

Cross Country Nurses seeks a Travel RN for Labor and Delivery in Garden City, Kansas. The assignment starts on 7/27/2026 for 13 weeks, with night shifts (11.5 hours each) totaling 34.5 hours per week.

• Provide specialized obstetric care during night shifts.
• Maintain patient safety and quality care following clinical guidelines and protocols.
• Assist with fetal monitoring, C‑sections, and post‑partum support.
• Float between L&D, post‑partum, and mother‑baby units as needed.
• Participate in on‑call duties up to three times per contract period.
• Document care using EPIC charting system.

• Registered Nurse (RN) license; current license to maintain employment.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Required certifications: ACLS (American Heart Association), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), BLS (American Heart Association), Intermediate Fetal Monitoring.
• Must follow AWHONN guidelines for nurse‑to‑patient ratios.
• Preferred: experience with LDRP, couplet care, circulating in obstetric operating rooms, and use of fetal monitoring systems such as GE and OBIX.

• Unit consists of Labor and Delivery with 12 LDRP rooms or suites, 1 triage bed, and 1 postpartum bed.
• Average births: 50‑60 per month.
• In‑house OB/Neonatologist and anesthesia services are not available 24/7.
