• Provide direct patient care across a Medical Surgical/Telemetry float pool covering multiple units including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation.
• Manage an adult and geriatric patient population with diagnoses including cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, oncology, renal, urology post‑surgical, general surgery, gynecology, psych/detox, ENT, and general medicine.
• Titrate Heparin drips and manage RT equipment including vents, CPAP, and BiPAP as needed.
• Float to facilities within a 60‑mile zone radius as assigned, which may include same‑day Just‑In‑Time (JIT) assignments communicated 1–2 hours before shift start.
• Adhere to nurse‑to‑patient ratios of 1:5–6 based on acuity, working alongside designated charge nurses and nurse aides.
• Maintain flexibility with scheduling to fill gaps, fulfill weekend shift requirements (6–9 shifts per 6‑week schedule), and participate in holiday rotation as needed.

• Active RN licensure in the state of Kansas (or compact eligibility).
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical/Telemetry experience within the last 3 years.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Ability to float throughout a 60‑mile zone radius and secure housing that supports this requirement.
• Must be physically present in state for the full week of orientation.
• Ability to submit all time‑off requests prior to assignment start.

• Prior experience in a neurological nursing setting.
• Familiarity with Alaris infusion pump systems.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records.
