Cut, trim, or prepare customer‑size portions of meat for sale in retail establishments.

• Prepare and place meat cuts and products on display to attract shoppers.
• Wrap, weigh, label, and price cuts of meat.
• Cut, trim, bone, tie, and grind meats (beef, pork, poultry, fish) for cooking form.
• Prepare special cuts of meat on customer order.
• Receive, inspect, and store meat upon delivery to ensure quality.
• Estimate requirements and order meat supplies to maintain inventory.
• Confer with customers or designers to determine order specifications.
• Inspect food products and record operational data.
• Weigh finished products.

The employee frequently reaches, stoops, kneels, crouchs, walks, stands, uses hands, and may lift up to 100 pounds occasionally; up to 50 pounds frequently; up to 10 pounds regularly. Vision: close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, focus. Work environment: wet/humid conditions, near moving mechanical parts, extreme cold.

• 1 year or more of meat cutting experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
