Description:

The Nassau BOCES Department of Special Education is seeking a Speech Teacher Leave Replacement.

Responsibilities include:

* Conducting speech and language re-evaluations for special education students

* Delivering individual and group speech services, as per student IEP mandates

* Maintaining accurate records, speech session notes, and Medicaid related documents

* Collaborating with teachers, parents, and component school districts

Requirements:

* NYSED Certification Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped or Teacher of Speech and Language Disabilities

* NYS Speech-Language Pathology License and Certificate of Clinical Competence American Speech-Language-Hearing Association are preferred

* Experience working with children and adolescents with Autism and/or emotional and behavioral disorders is also preferred

* Strong written and verbal communication skills
