Assistant Teaching Professor (Non Tenure-Track) Adult Health Nursing College of Nursing and Public Health

JOB SUMMARY:

The College of Nursing and Public Health at Adelphi University invites qualified candidates to apply for a full-time Assistant Teaching Professor position in Adult Health Nursing to begin in August 2026. Adelphi is reviewing the recent governmental changes to the H1B process and is encouraging all qualified candidates to apply. RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary obligations shall be in teaching across the undergraduate adult health courses - e.g. pharmacology, health assessment, fundamentals, and medical-surgical. A total of 24 credits/year is required. Actively participate in College of Nursing and Public Health and University committees, and contribute to Adelphi University's mission and strategic plan. Student advisement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A Master's degree in nursing is required. Doctorate in Nursing preferred (PhD or EdD or DNS or DNP). A NYS RN license or eligible for licensure in New York State. Relevant clinical nursing experience preferred. Experience in simulation technology, online or blended learning, research, and education. Additional experience is preferred in other areas (statistics, research design, education, administration) as well as curriculum development and implementation across all levels.

SALARY INFORMATION:
In compliance with New York's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $92,000 - $95,000. Adelphi University considers factors such as departmental budgets, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
