Experienced Maintenance Technician wanted for a full-time position in Suffolk County. Hours are 7am to 3pm with Flexibility. Monday through Friday with some overtime as needed. . Pay rate is $24.20 Hourly. Minimum 3 years' experience. Certification a plus in HVAC, electric, plumbing and carpentry. Maintain Suffolk programs and field work when required. A valid driver's license is required and your own vehicle use is mandatory.(will
be reimbursed for mileage) Three years experience in general maintenance and repair as well as the ability to work independently.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent plus Trade Certifications (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot/repair basic plumbing and electrical issues
- Overall knowledge and ability to utilize basic hand tools a must
- Three years' experience in general maintenance and repair
- Strong appliance diagnostics/repair background
- Valid driver's license
- Must have reliable vehicle
- RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Ensure assigned homes meet agency standards for safety.
Location:
Suffolk County. - Complete all work assignments in an efficient manner.
- Must have ability to perform snow removal and landscaping tasks as needed and assigned, including providing on-call support during storms or other emergencies.
- Purchase and store necessary equipment and supplies.
- Submit receipts of all purchases made on a weekly basis.
- Establish systems to ensure for ongoing routine maintenance.
- Scheduling flexibility as needed.
- Attendance scheduled maintenance meetings.
- Drive agency vans and demonstrate safe driving practices.
- Perform other duties as needed.
