Role Description The Commercial Construction Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based in Garden Grove, CA. This role oversees day-to-day field operations for commercial construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards. Responsibilities include coordinating subcontractors and vendors, managing site logistics, monitoring progress against project plans, and implementing construction safety protocols. The superintendent conducts regular inspections, resolves on-site issues, communicates with project managers and stakeholders, and maintains accurate documentation such as daily reports and progress updates.

The role also supports integration of Emergent’s 3D printing technology into project workflows and promotes a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement on the job site.
Qualifications

• Strong construction site management skills, including supervision of subcontractors and coordination of daily field activities.
• Demonstrated expertise in construction safety, with the ability to implement and enforce safety policies and OSHA-compliant practices.
• Excellent organization skills, with the ability to manage schedules, documentation, and multiple concurrent tasks efficiently.
• Proficient project management skills, including planning, sequencing work, and monitoring progress against timelines and milestones.
• Previous experience as a superintendent or foreperson on commercial construction projects; experience with concrete or innovative building systems is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with field teams, office staff, and clients.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and building codes; familiarity with construction management software is beneficial.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or a degree in construction management or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to work on-site in Garden Grove, CA, including standing, walking, and working in outdoor conditions as needed.
