Dental Assistant (Temporary)
Salary: $23-$28 per hour

Tustin & Garden Grove, CA, and our Mobile Unit

Position PurposeUnder the supervision of the Regional Manager and Supervisor, the Dental Assistant is responsible for supporting dental care delivery by preparing the treatment room, patient, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and supplies; ordering and maintaining adequate inventory of supplies; and performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act and Infection Control protocols. The Dental Assistant also provides support across FTOC facilities as needed to ensure efficient clinic operations and high-quality patient care.

Education, Qualifications, and Experience- Completion of a Dental Assistant Course at an accredited college or university
- Current Dental Assistant License, X‑ray license, CPR Card, and coronal polishing certification
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program preferred
- Current Dental Assistant certification (RDA) in the State of California preferred
- Valid CPR certification required
- X‑ray certification required
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting preferred
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient‑centered care
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
- Bilingual Spanish (Required)
- FTOC is an in‑person organization first, and foremost. Employees are expected to be on‑site for their scheduled shifts.
- Hours of operation are Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., however, employee schedules vary, depending on organizational, staffing, community, and patient needs. As such, FTOC may need to modify work schedules to meet such needs.
- Saturday availability is a requirement for this position.
- Holidays and weekends may be required depending on an employee’s department due to organizational, staffing, community, and patient needs as FTOC continues to grow and expand work days and hours.
- Overtime may also occur due to organizational, staffing, community, and patient needs.
