Lead, evaluate, design, and engineer projects and systems to specification on projects ranging from new design/build to rehabilitation of existing facilities and systems. Provide ongoing technical guidance and engineering issue resolution as needed.

Provides conceptual design for specific projects

Serves as design professional at project team design meetings

Prepares complex preliminary redline design layouts for estimating

Performs more complex calculations for a project, such as heating/cooling loads, equipment selection and sizing, friction loss calculations, hydraulic calculations, etc.

Performs site inspections to determine compliance with construction documents and resolves design issues during construction phase

Supervises less-experienced engineers in performing HVAC or other system design and documents production of small and large projects

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field

PE License required

8+ years of experience, including lead experience

Excellent knowledge of applicable systems design, such as HVAC, plumbing, etc., as well as general understanding of system operations.

Ability to read complex mechanical and plumbing plans

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate with all levels of employees, clients and general contractors

Strong public speaking/presentation skills

Excellent computer skills, including CADD and Microsoft Office Products, including as Excel

Pay:
Final pay is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. For California, this ranges from $-$ yearly plus annual incentive, benefits, and retirement program as outlined above.
