Solution Application Engineer II - Omniseals Solution

The Solutions Application Engineer serves as the technical interface between customers, sales, operations, and engineering teams. This role is responsible for understanding customer applications, translating customer needs into engineered solutions, and supporting products throughout the design and manufacturing process.

The successful candidate must be comfortable working directly with customers, solving complex technical challenges, and collaborating across multiple departments in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This position requires strong engineering fundamentals, proficiency in Solid Works, excellent communication skills, and the ability to balance customer expectations with manufacturing capabilities.

The Solutions Application Engineer will work closely with Sales, Operations, Quality, Manufacturing, and Product Development teams to deliver innovative sealing solutions while providing technical leadership throughout the customer engagement process. Occasional travel to customer locations and company facilities is required.

• Collaborate with customers to understand application requirements and recommend technical solutions.
• Develop designs, proposal drawings, and engineering documentation using Solid Works.
• Serve as the primary technical resource during customer discussions, design reviews, and qualification activities.
• Work closely with Sales to develop business opportunities and support customer visits.
• Partner with Operations, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet customer requirements.
• Support DFM, MRB, product improvement, and root cause analysis activities.
• Coordinate technical projects across multiple functions and locations.
• Travel to customer sites as needed to provide technical support and strengthen customer relationships.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of engineering standards and procedures.

• Bachelor's Degree, Material Science or Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Polymer Science or equivalent (required)
• 5+ years experience working in specialized Industries/Markets. Working in Manufacturing environment as well as being able to communicate with customers on technical issues (required)
• Understand the customer application and build application expertise
• Proficient in Solidworks and/or Auto Cad
• Design and Develop sealing components
• Understand engineering fundamentals and apply them to design process
• Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings and GD&T
• Use project management tools to lead assigned activities and projects.
