Temporary – Information Technology (IT)
Duration:
Up to 3 months (short-term assignment)
Schedule:
9/80 work schedule, 40 hours per week
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OFJOB DUTIES:
- Provide first-level technical support for desktop, laptop, printer, and mobile device issues.
- Assist with Windows workstation deployment, imaging, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Support Active Directory user account management, password resets, and access control administration.
- Assist with software installation, updates, and license management in accordance with company IT policies.
- Support Microsoft 365 applications, Outlook, Teams, and Office troubleshooting.
- Participate in cybersecurity initiatives including endpoint protection, system hardening, and security awareness activities.
- Assist with network troubleshooting involving switches, wireless access points, and connectivity issues.
- Document IT procedures, troubleshooting guides, and system configurations.
- Support data backup and recovery processes.
- Assist with inventory management of IT assets and equipment.
- Participate in special projects involving automation, scripting, software development, or process improvements.
- Maintain confidentiality of company, customer, and employee information.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Software Development, Computer Science,Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of: C++Java Python
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience with Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code.
- Exposure to networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Exposure to Active Directory and Microsoft Windows Server environments.
- Basic scripting experience using Power Shell or Python.
- Interest in cybersecurity, system administration, or software development.
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting and PC assembly is a plus.
- Ability to occasionally lift and move computer equipment up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work at a desk and use a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to move throughout office and manufacturing environments.
