Position:
Maintenance Supervisor (1st Shift)
Schedule: 1st Shift - 6:00 AM start time
Status: Resume submission and interview required
Position Overview
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading the maintenance team and ensuring all machinery, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained. This role combines hands‑on technical expertise with leadership and coordination to minimize downtime, ensure safety, and support efficient plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians, assigning daily tasks and monitoring performance.
- Oversee preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance schedules for machinery, equipment, and facilities.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment logs.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to minimize equipment downtime.
- Monitor inventory of tools, parts, and supplies; coordinate replenishment with purchasing.
- Train and mentor maintenance staff to improve technical skills and workplace safety.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly and effectively.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification preferred.
- 3–5 years of maintenance experience, including at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in reading technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Excellent problem‑solving, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, as needed.
Preferred
Skills:
- OSHA or safety certification.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
- Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial facilities.
