Job SummaryAs a member of the Manufacturing Engineering Team, you will be reporting to the Lead Manufacturing Engineer, and your role will be to support the day-to-day Operations Team within the Value Stream.
Job Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day support for manufacturing operations
- Review and disposition non-conforming material / MRB (Material Review Board) support to steady state programs
- Track product and process performance, identify key process characteristics the effect product yields
- Participate in daily operational management meetings for assigned product areas
- Participate in structured problem-solving projects linked to manufacturing issues around yield or cost improvement
- Refine and improve manufacturing work instructions to improve consistency and efficiency
- Collaborate across teams, supporting a positive and solutions driven work culture
- Be willing to provide support to other product and process areas
- Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering fields, especially Physics, Chemistry, Aerospace, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering. Will consider associate’s degree in engineering and 4 years of professional experience in manufacturing, in lieu of Bachelors.
- One year of manufacturing experience.
- US Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance and site requirements.
- GKN Aerospace manufacturing experience
- Eager to learn and curiosity about manufacturing operations
- Willingness to investigate process issues with operators as well as macro scale issues that affect product flow and process feedback
- Demonstrable problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills, written and spoken
- Proficiency in MS Office programs for data analysis and reporting
- Prior experience in plastics, composites, glass processing or laminating industries
