We are seeking a Receiving Clerk on 1st and 2nd shift to join our team at Wesanco in Garden Grove CA!

1st Shift : 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

Hourly Rate: $20.50 + $1.00 Shift Differential for 2nd Shift

Work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing setting that may include dust and debris and can be loud  a shipping clerk your duties would include preparing shipping documentation and processing orders. Coordinating the preparation and organization of bills of lading, packing slips, invoices, and required export licenses or compliance documents. Utilizes enterprise resource planning (ERP) or other systems to record and track all shipping transactions.

Troubleshoot shipping delays or changes with carriers and communicates to customers. Ensures shipping protocols and documentation meet required regulatory requirements for hazardous materials (DOT/HAZMAT) or special handling. Investigates and resolves shipping non-conformance. Be able to operate forklift, read and understand written directions. And be able to provide report data to the management team. Must follow all applicable safety procedures to avoid injuries including but not limited to request for help from co-workers.

Proper handling of finished parts and products to avoid injuries or damage, follow all operational instructions when operating or using tools and equipment. Provide quality checks as determined. Job may require overtime and a flexible schedule, reporting early and working late including weekends from time to time.

• Follow standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
• Record and track all shipping transactions utilizing a scan gun.
• Able to safely operate a forklift and heavy equipment in tight places.
• Follow bill of lading, packing slips and invoices.
• Utilize a computer to be able to properly set up, track and prepare shipments.
• Able to work closely with team lead and supervisor on planning the workload for the entire shift.
• Follow safety protocol.
• Read and comprehend schedule and BOM.
• Inspect manufactured goods for defects, quality, proper material and correct size and specifications.
• Housekeeping while in between quality checks.
• Production reporting.
• May perform other related duties as assigned.

• Excellent verbal communication skills with strong aptitude for operating machinery.
• Ability to follow instructions and learn the production process.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks.

• A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Hi-Lo Certification preferred, will be trained, and certified on the hi-lo.
