Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a per diem night shift position in a California hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and an active CA RN license.

Job Details

• ICU setting within a hospital environment,

• Night shift: 19:00-07:30,

• Per diem status, up to 24 hours per week,

• Floating required within scope of practice, including the ED (for ICU holds), Telemetry, and Med/Surg,

Job Requirements

• Active CA RN license required,

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required,

• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross),

• Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross),

• NIHSS certification required,

• PALS required within 30 days of hire for units admitting pediatric patients,

• RN-C certification preferred within 2 years of hire,

• BSN preferred,

• DOB and SSN required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Responsible for the full nursing process - assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation - for assigned ICU patients,

• Communicates with physicians regarding changes in patient condition, including hemodynamic monitoring, diagnostic results, and symptomatology,

• Directs and guides patient and family teaching, as well as the activities of other nursing personnel,

• DCI/BVP (Workplace Violence Prevention) training required - can be completed via Relias, Healthcare Staffing Hire, or the free CDC resource,
