About This Role

The Level II Staff RN provides professional nursing care in the Pediatrics After Hours unit, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established standards of care. This role is ideal for nurses who are flexible and committed to delivering quality patient care.

  Part-time, Evening shift (4:30 PM - 10:30 PM)

• Provide professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process.
• Uphold Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures.
• Serve as a leader of the health care team and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Develop and contribute to individualized plans of care.
• Monitor patient progress and revise care plans as needed.
• Ensure patient safety and optimal pain control.
• Document nursing processes and interventions accurately.
• Discuss patient findings and progress with the healthcare team.
• Practice customer service standards and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Act as a resource and mentor to new employees and team members.

• Education:
  
  N/A
• Experience:
  
  1-year recent experience in pediatric acute care or pediatric ambulatory care.
• Licenses &
  
  Certifications:
  • Registered Nurse License (California)
  • Basic Life Support from American Heart Association
