Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and reliable Facilities Maintenance Technician I (contract) to join our team. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on building systems and equipment to ensure a safe, functional, and pleasant working environment. The ideal candidate will have basic technical skills, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn and grow within a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Performs basic and routine facilities maintenance, construction, and repair tasks according to service, quality, and safety standards.
- Following standard operating procedures, installs, inspects, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance.
- Assists with miscellaneous facility projects, including painting, drywall, installation of fixtures, and moving materials within the facility.
- Utilize a work order system to log activities as required in a timely manner.
Requirements
- General understanding of building trades, including basic electric, plumbing, and painting experience.
- Proficiency in the use of tools and equipment used in various building construction and maintenance trades.
- Basic computer skills related to data entry, retrieval, and record‑keeping.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, specifications, and manuals.
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and standard safety practices.
- Experience with building management systems (BMS) software for creating, performing, and maintaining work orders is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Possession of a current valid California Class C driver’s license and dependable transportation.
$25 — $30 USD
