education and experience: one year of experience in the operation of a motor vehicle. Some experience working with school-aged children is desirable. Part-time experience will be considered and adjusted appropriately. Any other combination of training and experience which would likely provide the required skills, knowledge and abilities may be considered.

license: must possess and maintain a valid class a or class b california driver license with a passenger endorsement and remain insurable at the standard insurance market rate.

certificate: must possess and maintain a valid school bus driver certificate issued by the california highway patrol. Must possess and maintain a valid first aid and cpr certificate or pass the california highway patrol first aid exam.
