Accounting Manager Job Gardena area,California USA,Accounting

Century Group is excited to share a great opportunity to work for a company in the manufacturing industry. Our client is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join their team in Gardena. This position will oversee all aspects of the accounting process including internal and external reporting requirements and will report to the Director of Accounting. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.

Expected starting base salary 120,000 to $125,000 per year.

Job Description:

Prepare general ledger accounting which includes month-end close, inventory accounting, accruals and reserves, journal entries and reconciliations.
Prepare inventory accounting such as standard costs audits and analysis, inventory roll forward, inventory reporting and analysis, financial production order closing, and inventory movement audits.
Assist with inventory forecasting and budget to actual analysis.
Oversee consolidation accounting and prepare internal financial reporting for the Company's consolidated entities.
Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close.
Ensure accounting records are recorded in accordance with US GAAP.
Assist in the preparation/review of financial reports, annual budgets and forecasts, and monthly fluctuation analysis.
Assist with developing, implementing, and monitoring operating procedures to ensure company policies affecting financial matters are observed and assets safeguarded.
Analyze, recommend, and execute process changes for continual improvement.
Assist with external audits, tax filings and other tax matters.

Requirements:

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel
Excellent analytical, math and organizational skills
Strong focus on accuracy, attention to detail and meeting deadlines

Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of experience in accounting, including consolidation
Experienced in consumer goods or manufacturing organization
Understanding of US GAAP
