Staff Accountant

Senior Accountant / Financial Controller

Pay: $60,000.00 - $69,000.00 per year

Open Health Care is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations, assist with the month-end close process, and maintain accurate financial records in accordance with U.S. GAAP. This role provides an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to grow within a fast-paced, mission-driven healthcare organization.

• Prepare and post accurate journal entries, including month-end accruals, prepaids, reclasses, and fixed asset transactions.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, including daily bank reconciliations, and investigate variances as needed.
• Manage accounts payable: process vendor invoices, ensure appropriate coding, and support timely payment execution.
• Support accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, cash application, and collections follow-up.
• Perform monthly P&L and balance sheet flux analysis and provide clear, insightful commentary.
• Assist with the preparation of financial reports, internal schedules, and documentation required for audits and tax filings.
• Support quarterly reviews and the annual external audit with timely and complete deliverables.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to understand business drivers and ensure financial accuracy.
• Assist with ad hoc analysis, process improvement initiatives, and other special projects as assigned.
• Help identify and implement improvements in internal processes, systems, and reporting workflows.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of relevant accounting experience (internship experience accepted).
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Basic understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting controls.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas).
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Net Suite, or similar) preferred.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic, high-growth environment.

Open Healthcare US offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The reasonable estimated salary for this role ranges from $60,000 to $69,000 per year. Actual compensation is based upon factors such as the candidate's education, skills, qualifications, and related work experience.
