We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations, assist with the month-end close process, and maintain accurate financial records in accordance with U.S. GAAP. This role provides an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to grow within a fast-paced, mission-driven healthcare organization.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Prepare and post accurate journal entries, including month-end accruals, prepaids, reclasses, and fixed asset transactions.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, including daily bank reconciliations, and investigate variances as needed.
- Manage accounts payable: process vendor invoices, ensure appropriate coding, and support timely payment execution.
- Support accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, cash application, and collections follow-up.
- Perform monthly P&L and balance sheet flux analysis and provide clear, insightful commentary.
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports, internal schedules, and documentation required for audits and tax filings.
- Support quarterly reviews and the annual external audit with timely and complete deliverables.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to understand business drivers and ensure financial accuracy.
- Assist with ad hoc analysis, process improvement initiatives, and other special projects as assigned.
- Help identify and implement improvements in internal processes, systems, and reporting workflows.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field study or equivalent work experience
- 0–2 years of relevant accounting experience (internship experience accepted).
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Basic understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting controls.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas).
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Net Suite, or similar) preferred.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving work environment
- Must be able to work on-site in our Gardena laboratory/office.

- Prior industry experience in healthcare or related sector a plus.
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; able to interpret and communicate financial data clearly.
- Effective communicator with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
- High level of accountability, organization, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM from Monday to Friday

OPEN Healthcare US offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The reasonable estimated salary for this role ranges from $60,000 to $69,000 per year. Actual compensation is based upon factors such as the candidate's education, skills, qualifications, related work experience, and etc.
