Accounts Receivable/ Collections, Bookkeeper/ Accounting Clerk
Coastline Equity is a 20-person, family-owned property management and real estate advisory firm founded in 1972. We are hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist to help keep receivables accurate, documented, and moving through the right process. You will work with the Accounting team to review identified receipts, maintain clear follow-through on open and aging items, reconcile ordinary discrepancies, and surface exceptions early.
This is an hourly accounting role supporting defined DRE-approved accounting-department duties under responsible-broker supervision; it is not a commission-sales position. Success means dependable cutoff discipline, source-backed records, concise escalation notes, and careful protection of confidential financial information.
Active California Department of Real Estate salesperson or broker license; willingness and eligibility to perform the defined DRE-approved accounting duties under responsible-broker supervision; relevant accounts receivable, cash application, reconciliation, bookkeeping, or accounting operations experience; strong accuracy with dates, amounts, and supporting evidence; clear written communication; dependable follow-through; and willingness to learn App Folio or an equivalent system. Candidates will be asked to provide their license type, DRE license number, and the exact name shown on the license so it can be verified through the DRE public record.
Preferred: property-management accounting or App Folio experience, receivable aging, deposit or bank-reconciliation experience, and familiarity with ACH controls or Positive Pay. No guessing when money, coding, identity, bank information, or trust status is unclear.
Hourly pay: $20-$24 based on experience. Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.
-5:30 p.m. This is an in-office role at our Gardena office. Additional employment details will be discussed during the hiring process.
