Maria Regina School is seeking a faith-filled, dynamic, and dedicated 1st-grade teacher for the upcoming academic year. The teacher will support the mission of Catholic education and the Archdiocese’s policies by modeling Christian values and fostering a positive, structured learning environment.
Responsibilities- Plan and deliver standards-based instruction in all core subject areas, including Religion, in alignment with Archdiocesan guidelines
- Integrate Catholic teachings and values throughout the curriculum and daily classroom life
- Maintain a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment
- Assess and monitor student progress; maintain accurate records
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents/guardians
- Collaborate with faculty, administration, and staff in support of school goals
- Participate in school liturgies, prayer services, and faith formation activities
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of the Archdiocese, including professional conduct standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Valid California Teaching Credential (or in progress)
- Catechist Certification (or willingness to obtain through the Archdiocese)
- Commitment to the mission of Catholic education
- Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills
- 2 years of prior elementary teaching experience
- Experience in a Catholic school setting

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
