Mechanical Project Engineer – Socal leading design‑build mechanical contractor – $10‑50M Local Projects

$80,000 – $120,000 per year | Gardena, CA | On‑site | Permanent

We are a Southern California‑based, design‑build mechanical contractor delivering complex HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems on some of the region’s most demanding commercial, infrastructure, and aviation projects. • Own submittals, RFIs, procurement, and portions of project execution from day one
• Work directly with Project Managers, foremen, and design teams on active projects
• Support buyout, change orders, and cost tracking
• Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and vendors to keep projects moving
• Assist with BIM coordination and clash detection (Navisworks/Revit environment)
• Track project progress, maintain documentation, and support closeout

• Healthcare/hospital & lab environments (high compliance, active facilities)
• Aerospace and advanced manufacturing facilities
• Higher education campus projects
• Major infrastructure work, including LAX terminal & APM‑related projects

• Experience working for a mechanical contractor (HVAC / plumbing)
• Exposure to design‑build projects highly preferred
• Experience with submittals, RFIs, procurement, and project coordination
• Familiarity with BIM coordination (Navisworks, Revit, etc.) strongly preferred
• Experience supporting mechanical projects in the $5M+ range is a plus
