Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the accuracy of all financial documents, reports, cash management, cash flow, month-end closing journal entries, and grants fiscal reporting.
- Develop and maintain relationships with bankers, funders, internal team, and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the controller to prepare monthly financial statements, including grant/financial reports for the leadership team, program directors, and managers.
- Supervise the controller who oversees the accounting team.
- Provides direct supervision, evaluation and discipline for the Accounting Department.
- Serve as the primary liaison for the annual audits.
- Maintain proper internal documentation, including policies and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of relevant experience in grants management, accounting, or finance.
- Strong working knowledge GAAP and GAAS
- Proficient with MS Office Suite, and accounting software's and tools
- Demonstrated experience in grant project management.
- 5+ years of of supervisory/management experience
- Strong analytical and negotiating abilities.
