Procurement Specialist

Job Description

Procurement Specialist is needed for a sporting goods importer and manufacturer located in Gardena, CA.

• Maintain a strong professional relationship and communicate effectively with overseas suppliers and company management.
• Coordinate with logistics to bring products into our distribution warehouses or direct import to customers' distribution centers.
• Negotiate with a wide variety of vendors on a daily basis.
• Support cross-functional teams such as Sales, Logistics, Operations, and A/P.
• Coordinate sample evaluations, label and material compliance, and other administrative work.
• Create demand and inventory forecast based on seasonal and annual sales trends.
• Communicate effectively with management on purchasing requirements and create purchase orders as needed.
• QC and evaluate all product specifications and details to company standards.
• Update inventory and pricing as needed.
• Track inventory in all warehouse locations.
• Assist with freight and transportation arrangements as needed.
• Other related responsibilities as assigned.

• Bilingual in Mandarin (reading, writing, speaking).
• 1+ years of experience as a buyer or purchasing role.
• Experience in supply chain management.
• Experience working with forwarders and freight companies.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office, with strong emphasis on Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience with Sage 100 is a plus.
