The Role
As a CHB Operations Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers’ imports move smoothly, compliantly, and on time. You will manage end-to-end customs brokerage operations for a dedicated portfolio of accounts, partnering closely with customers, carriers, government agencies, and internal teams. This role is well suited for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and motivated to build expertise in customs brokerage while contributing directly to service delivery and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:- Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned customers, providing timely updates and resolving shipment inquiries
- Prepare and submit U.S. Customs entries and Partner Government Agency (PGA) filings in compliance with applicable regulations
- Manage entry files in line with defined KPIs, service standards, and documentation requirements
- Coordinate shipment clearance with freight forwarders, carriers, airlines, and CFS facilities to ensure timely release
- Track and trace inbound shipments from arrival through final delivery, proactively addressing delays or risks
- Maintain accurate documentation and upload complete entry packages into internal systems
- Support billing processes, delivery orders, and operational reporting requirements
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure coverage, knowledge sharing, and support during peak volumes.
Operational accuracy & compliance focus: we are looking for someone who is highly detail-oriented, committed to accuracy, and proactive in ensuring all customs processes and documentation meet regulatory and company standards
- 6–12 months of experience in customs brokerage, logistics, or a related operational role (2+ years preferred in CHB or similar environments)
- Solid understanding of import processes, documentation, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with multiple stakeholders
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent relevant work experience;
Customs Broker License is an advantage but not required
