Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Pelco System Administrator to oversee, manage, and ensure the optimal and secure operation of our Pelco video security systems. The successful candidate will have hands‑on experience with Pelco surveillance products, with a strong focus on maintaining system uptime, troubleshooting issues, and liaising with stakeholders to ensure the security needs of the organization are met.

Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain Pelco surveillance systems and related infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in real‑time to ensure minimal disruption to surveillance operations.
  • Coordinate with the IT department to ensure network stability and security for all surveillance systems.
  • Collaborate with security teams to fine‑tune surveillance feeds and camera angles for optimal coverage.
  • Conduct regular system backups, updates, and patches as required.
  • Monitor system performance and generate regular reports on system health, activity logs, and incident reports.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in Pelco's product line and recommend system upgrades when necessary.
  • Provide end‑user training and support, ensuring all stakeholders can effectively use the surveillance tools at their disposal.
  • Work with vendors, contractors, and Pelco support when necessary to resolve issues or implement new solutions.
  • Ensure all surveillance activities comply with local regulations and privacy standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Pelco surveillance systems and products.
  • Strong knowledge of IP networks, cameras, video management systems, and related surveillance technologies.
  • Problem‑solving skills with an ability to work under pressure and respond to emergencies.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices as they relate to surveillance systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant certifications in surveillance or network systems are a plus.
