Position Overview

Strong ability to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including lighting, wiring, and control. Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams, inspect electrical components, and use testing devices to troubleshoot issues. Electrician will also be able to replace equipment, wiring, and fixtures, and follow local and state building regulations.

Essential Duties

Diagnosing electrical issues by reading diagrams and blue prints;
Installing and repairing wiring and conducive elements and electrical components in building and other structures;
Testing and inspecting electrical work like wiring and lighting to ensure safe installation and compliance with regulations;
Planning and designing layouts of fixtures, wiring pathways and other electrical elements inside commercial and residential buildings;
Identifying and mitigating safety hazards, code violations and other electrical issues;
Install, maintain, and enhance electrical systems and components, including fuses, lights, and wiring
Inspect, test, and diagnose issues with electrical systems and components
Perform all work in a manner that meets and follows electrical codes, blueprints, and standards
Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning
Complete required documentation of repairs and service information
Ensure adequate inventory of necessary supplies and parts
Calibrate equipment to provided specifications
Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and components
Troubleshoot problems and make timely repairs

Collateral

Perform other tasks and special projects as required.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent

Min. of 2 years electrical experience

Must provide own transportation; ability to provide own tools a plus.

car travel required;

Proof of valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and auto insurance required;

Prefer one or more of the following certifications;
Plumbing certificate, Electrical certificate, EPA certified and certified in Osha safety requirements;

Proven ability to safely operate power tools;

Willing to work overtime and/or weekends when necessary a plus;

Must be professional and costumer service oriented, with the ability to deal effectively with unsatisfied tenants;

Excellent written/verbal communication skills, including the ability to express thoughts clearly and exchange information with others;

Bi‑lingual Spanish a plus;

Able to work in a fast‑paced environment;

Ability to work independently with little or no supervision while using common sense;

Ability to efficiently troubleshoot and assess a problem;

Ability to follow directions and take initiative;

Excellent time management skills including the ability to be highly organized and detail‑oriented;

Maintains a safe working environment;

Able to endure and experience temperature changes;

Able to lift and or carry up to 20 pounds above shoulder level on a frequent basis and team lifting above 50 pounds when necessary;

Ability to walk, stand, climb, stoop, bend, kneel, and or crawl;

Ability to work in small, confined work spaces.

Salaried $60-$100k paid semi-monthly, commensurate on experience.
